After this lesson, you should be able to:

 - Use an appropriate right-hand-rule to determine the direction of the magnetic field lines around (i) a straight current carrying wire, (ii) a current carrying loop and (iii) a solenoid
 - Draw magnetic field lines around (i) a straight current carrying wire, (ii) a current carrying loop and (iii) a solenoid
 - Compare the magnetic fields of a solenoid and of a bar magnet
 - Discuss qualitatively the possible environmental impact of overhead electrical cables
